Going GREEN may sound like a hard goal to achieve, but we are here to tell you it’s not. We have dedicated the month of April to help you go GREEN in honor of Earth Day later this month.

First thing to think about is what your current impact is?

We have done a little research and found some online calculators that can determine them. Find out your impacts here:

Next thing to do is reduce your purchases at the store. Are you really in need of something you will rarely use?

Set yourself one green goal you wish to accomplish this month. Here is a couple we came up with:

  • Recycle every single paper or bottle you come across
  • Carpool with a co-worker
  • Don’t buy paper bags at the store
  • Buy only organic or local produce
  • Avoid single wrapped food/drinks and buy in bulk
  • Stick to rechargeable batteries
  • Only drink out of a reusable bottle when on the go
  • Take the bus once a week instead of driving
  • Unplug unused electronics
  • Donate things you don’t need anymore
  • Pay bills online
  • Take five-minute showers
  • Add a meatless meal for a day in your week
  • Clean with non-toxic supplies such as vinegar, baking soda, and soap

Now that we’ve come up with a list, you should too! Make a list of your own. What is your GREEN goal this month?
